The Professional Microsuction Clinic Package puts the least strain on the practitioner's eyes allowing superior up-close crystal clear vision with the least fatigue. It's excellent for high-volume clinics and trickier removals resulting in fewer reappointments. It offers every bit of equipment necessary to start a professional aural micro suction practice and it's totally customisable. This is the same, carefully selected equipment used daily by ourselves in our own practice and in our training sessions, so you know it's good!
The Professional Microsuction Clinic Package comes with the New Hospivac 400 suction unit and set of essentials to get you started and you choose everything else from our professional range.
The CAMI NEW HOSPIVAC 400 has been designed for professional aspiration of bodily fluids, gases, tissues or bones of the patient during or after surgery and is perfect for clinic-based ear wax microscuction. It is guaranteed for 24hr non-stop continuous use. The state-of-the-art oiless pump guarantees high performance with excellent suction capacities and the max vacuum is reachable within a few seconds with no need for maintenance.
A clear dashboard and a full range of accessories make it the ideal device for clinical suction.
Please be aware that suction units are CE certified for the intended purpose to remove material from the airway or respiratory support system and infectious materials from wounds. They will therefore be classified as an adapted device if used aurally, and certain rules must be followed as governed by the MHRA. It's not difficult to comply and you can find help and more information here.
Model Options:
Canister Options:
There are canisters that are designed to fit liners and canisters that are designed to be used without liners. The latter requires sterilising equipment and the former does not. Due to the majority of ear wax removal clinics not having access to sterilising equipment we generally recommend the use of liners.
The size of the canister/liner is relative to the volume of patients that you see and the amount of water used for flushing through. 2000ml is the standard size and is usually large enough for relatively busy clinics.
If you are using non-gelling liners then these will require replacing daily. The gelling liners can be left unchanged for up to 1 week depending on room temperature.
Video Otoscope Options:
In our opinion, a video otoscope is not a luxury, it's an essential item. The ability to clearly explain the condition of a patient's ear prior to and post-procedure will improve everyones' experience and help prevent many potential issues. The image/video capture features of all these products allow you to keep objective documentation of the ear canal and tympanic membrane integrity which you may well be very grateful for in the future.
OTOvideo TM Otoscope
This plug-and-play USB otoscope provides high-definition visuals and is compatible with various operating systems. It also has a pre-warmed tip to prevent lens fogging.
Firefly DE500 Digital Video Otoscope
Of the three Fireflies, the Firefly DE500 Digital Video Otoscope has the best magnification and resolution values by quite some margin. It's also the lowest priced so unless wireless or mobile is essential then this model would be our recommendation.
Firefly DE550 Wireless Digital Video Otoscope
The Firefly DE550 Digital Video Otoscope is the best if you really would like a wireless option.
Firefly DE570 HD Wireless Mobile Video Otoscope
The Firefly DE570 HD Wireless Mobile Video Otoscope is what you need if you wish to display your images on mobile devices such as phones and tablets.
