The Drive DeVilbiss Vacuaide 7325P-U Portable Suction Unit is designed to perform effective suctioning in a comfortable, safe and hygienic way. It features a Li-ion battery with a quick charging time and long battery life for improved performance.

For most purposes, the 7325P-U is still very small, light and portable.

Best for Budget & Static Clinics: The CA-MI AS100 is a fantastic low-cost unit with an incredible 40l/min airflow suction rate compared with the 26l/min of the DeVilbiss units with critical similar safety and performance advantages. Please be aware that suction units are CE certified for the intended purpose to remove material from the airway or respiratory support system and infectious materials from wounds. They will therefore be classified as an adapted device if used aurally, and certain rules must be followed as governed by the MHRA. It's not difficult to comply and you can find help and more information here.

You will also need to choose your loupes. All loupes for aural micro suction purposes are supplied at 340mm working distance and 3.0x magnification:

Best for Personal Use: Opticlar TTL ENT EasiLoupes 340mm 3.0x with Light & Case. We've tried a lot of loupes at The Hearing Lab and we believe you can't get better loupes than those made by Opticlar unless you spend at least twice as much. For the purpose of looking down an ear canal, these are perfect and have been designed especially for the purpose of aural microsuction. Through the Lens or TTLs are customised to your inter-pupillary distance (IPD) and they are light and comfortable to wear. To measure your IPD, you can ask a friend to look into your eyes from about 30cm away and measure the distance between your eyeballs with a see-through ruler.
