The Vacsax and GelSax bags are currently only "compatible" with the Hospivac 400. They are not compatible with other CA-MI or DeVilbiss units that we sell at this time. Other suction units are compatible.

If you are purchasing for the first time, you will need to purchase the Conversion Kit containing the GelSax Canister, Filter, and Tubing so that it is compatible with your Hospivac.

The BactiClear Antimicrobial Suction Liner System is designed to minimise the risk of cross infection, incorporating advanced antimicrobial technology. All external surfaces of the liner and canister have antimicrobial properties, and with extensive independent testing has proven to reduce the growth of harmful bacteria such as MRSA and E.coli by 99.99% over a few hours and permanent protection after 24 hours.

These liners have a hydrophobic bacterial shut off filter for complete overflow protection. The unique patented designed liner is folded for ease of storage and begins to inflate immediately when the vacuum is attached. The gelling component immobilises liquid waste and retains space inside of the liner, suitable for busy clinics or when you are on the go.

The active ingredient in this technology is silver, a durable and long lasting component with ions that binds to the cell surface, disrupting the cell wall and preventing cell growth. These ions also interrupt the cell DNA, preventing DNA replication and new cell formation.
